About Aruba:

The Island country north of Venezuela and Curacao most known for being “One Happy Island”. Unlike its fellow Caribbean Islands it resides south of the hurricane belt making it a year round destination and less likely to experience substantial storms.

Home to a vast cruise port, private island with flamingos, numerous resorts, beautiful beaches and Arikok National Park. The well-maintained road network offers tourists (and locals) a unique opportunity to navigate the island’s hot spots independently or with a guide.

Why Visit Aruba:

Island vibes with a touch of conveniences  you would find in a city.

My Favorite Experience:

So this was definitely a trip where I treated myself to a little luxury by renting a cabana on Flamingo Island for the day. It was worth Every-Single-Penny!

But I also must include driving UTVs to Arikok and other sites on the island.

Oh wait! This was my first international trip during the C-word…. Aruba did an amazing job of keeping everyone organized, safe and enjoying their vacation as much as possible.

Location Highlights:

  • Cruise Port town in Oranjestad
  • Palm Beach
  • Snorkeling and Beaches in Noord
  • Amazing Seafood at Local Restaurants
  • Boat Parties off the coast

Key Tip:

Flamingo Beach is located on a private island owned by the Renaissance Aruba Hotel. Guests of the hotel have free unrestricted access to the island (the ferry even leaves from the lobby of the hotel) but there is an option to purchase one of the limited tickets offered to non-guest for $125 per person. Depending on the cost of a room and the number of guests in your group renting a room for the night would be your best option to visit the island. You’ll save a few bucks and guaranteed access without the hassle. Interested in booking one of the few cabanas in advance? Check out the guide for more details.

Money Saving Tip:

Seafood lover?…..Eat at Zeerovers! Thank me later!
